We were searching for a solution that would get the children at our school moving. They sit down for most of our classes, so we thought that we should change something in the classrooms. We discovered these desks by chance, in a short newspaper article. We had already included them in our pool of potential ideas, so we did some more research. That’s when we discovered the Swiss company that sells these desks here in Germany. The desks feature a gas pressure spring, which allows the height to be adjusted for each child. Height differences between students are sometimes as big as 60 cm, and these desks can be adjusted accordingly.
