Wearing the kybun Swiss air-cushion shoes means you can walk on an elastic, springy, moss-like surface at all times. It is often the case that before, after or during a hike, you have to walk across kilometres of tarmac or hard surfaces.

Older people, in particular, can improve mobility and balance by walking in kybun shoes, which is an effective way of reducing the risk of falls.

New wearers of kybun shoes should know that it is important to take a pair of ‘normal’ shoes with them in their rucksack when they go on longer hikes. It takes some time to get used to the soft, springy sole. The air-cushion sole activates different muscles, which can result in noticeable reactions being felt in the body.
The kybun shoe gives me stability and comfort that enables me to walk longer and further without discomfort.
I have been a polyarthritis and soft tissue rheumatism patient for many years and have had quite a few attempts with orthopedically converted shoes and insoles that never quite fit properly, despite repeated modifications. Walking for any length of time caused me severe pain. As a dog owner and passionate hiker, I depend on being able to walk effectively. A colleague of mine first introduced me to the kybun shoe. Since then, I have been enjoying my dog walking without pain. At one point, I had to go back to orthopaedic shoes because I also had a hallux and a hammertoe. Very quickly I started to experience pain in the affected foot, knee issues and lower back problems. I immediately switched back to the kybun shoe and now I can walk pain-free again. Longer hikes are also possible and that includes walking downhill!
On October 1993 I did a forced landing near an air field at the northern part of Israel. On take off, and few minutes air born I've noticed a sudden engine cut, did a rapidly forced landing in a very bad field for landing, plenty of boulders and rocks. In these circumstances you can choose the right place - you take what you find. Fortunately the passenger didn't suffer any damage, but I broke badly my right ankle. It took me one year and a half of crutches and 3 orthopaedic operations to walk again. Until now I couldn't find suitable shoes though I tryed all possible firms and styles. I could walk, but always with pain and uncomfortable sensation. Two months ago a friend from Israel, and shoed me his shoes, which was of your production. I tried them and felt good. I use those shoes for about one month and a half now,and for the first time after the incident I can walk again without lame ,pain or inconvenience and for relatively long courses even up the hill side. So, in short ,I am very happy now with your shoes and will buy some others for the next winter.
